How refunds work for attendees and event hosts on SortMyTickets

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for tickets booked on SortMyTickets, operated by VIBE NEST ENTERTAINMENTS. By booking a ticket you agree to this policy.

2. Refunds for Attendees

  • The platform (convenience) fee and the GST charged on it are non-refundable in all cases.
  • The remaining ticket price is refundable where a refund is approved, as per the event's cancellation terms or if the event is cancelled by the host.
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 - 15 business days.
  • Free (₹0) bookings carry no fee or GST and have nothing to refund.
  • If a promo code was used, the refund is calculated on the ticket amount actually paid.

3. Event Cancelled or Rescheduled

  • If a host cancels an event, the ticket price is refunded to the attendee within 7 - 15 business days. The platform fee and GST remain non-refundable.
  • If an event is rescheduled, your ticket stays valid for the new date. Refunds for rescheduled events are subject to the applicable refund policy. For any queries, please contact our SortMyTicket Support Team at support@sortmytickets.com, including your booking ID and ticket details.

4. Refunds and Hosts

  • Hosts set the cancellation terms for their events and must state them clearly in the event description.
  • Refunded ticket amounts are deducted from the host's earnings for that event. Platform fee and GST are not part of host earnings and are not refunded.
  • If a host cancels an event, the host is responsible for the refund of all ticket prices.
  • Hosts cannot refuse a refund that is due under this policy.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email info@sortmytickets.com with your booking ID, registered email and the reason for the request. We will review it and update you by email.

6. Non-Refundable Cases

  • Platform fee and GST on the fee.
  • Tickets that have already been scanned or used for entry.
  • Requests that fall outside the event's stated cancellation terms.
  • Bank or payment gateway charges, where applicable.
